Andrews Myers started 2020 in trial and was rewarded with a jury verdict for our longtime client. Attorneys Lisa Norman and Kathryn Baird represented one of the firm’s general contractor clients in a lawsuit to recover the costs incurred to complete and repair a project at Prairie View A&M University after the subcontractor abandoned its work. At the conclusion of the trial, the jury provided a favorable monetary judgment for the costs our client incurred to complete and repair the subcontractor’s work. Andrews Myers was also able to successfully obtain a dismissal of a portion of the subcontractor’s claims on directed verdict and no money was awarded by the jury on the subcontractor’s remaining claims. We look forward to many more victories for our clients this year, in and out of the courtroom.
