Josh Cunningham’s practice is devoted to commercial real estate, corporate and commercial transactions. Working with developers, builders, investors, landlords, and tenants, he has represented clients in all facets of real estate agreements. He has worked with clients through the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and sale of various multi-tenant shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, and mixed use developments throughout Texas. Josh has also worked in general collection matters, foreclosure proceedings, confidentiality agreements, and other business agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Josh held a long-term clerkship with a real estate and commercial litigation firm well known for their experience in the property management industry.  While at South Texas College of Law, Josh was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship Award, and also received the CALI Award for best overall scoring for his work in agency & partnership and secured transactions.

  • Represented developers and builders in connection with the development of numerous residential subdivisions in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area.
  • Represented investor in acquisition and disposition of multiple, large mobile home parks throughout Texas.
  • Represented landlords and tenants in commercial leases of retail, office, and industrial/warehouse space.
  • Represented developers of luxury hi-rise and horizontal condominium projects in Houston and Austin, in connection with formation, development and financing of projects, formation of condominium regimes and sales of individual units.
  • Represented clients in the issuance of legal opinions for loans.
  • Represented clients in general collection matters, foreclosure proceedings, confidentiality agreements, and other business agreements.
  • Represented various clients with Texas business entity formations and conversions.
  • Draft various contracts and agreements in the fields of real estate and corporate law
  • Respond to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) complaints
  • Analysis of various commercial landlord and tenant issues
  • Perform title and survey reviews on multiple properties
